Hello Hans, well, the xx.xx.xx.xx is the WAN-IP and 192.168.0.1 the LAN-IP of the Router. I have try it: Start Server on 192.168.0.100:25 Start Client on 192.168.0.101:25 Set IdSMTP->Host to 192.168.0.100 (Client & Server on different Machines at your Meaning) Server&Client connecting and Client send mail - all OK !! I configure my Router as a virtual SMTP-Server leading incoming Requests on Port 25 to 192.168.0.100:25 At next i've calling a Friend, he is setting a new Account in his Outlook-Express at my Instructions, mainly setting SMTP-Server to my xx.xx.xx.xx WAN-IP and send a Message. There is always a Socket-Error, and the running Server-Application on my Machine is listening and listening. . . and so on. It comes no Connection and it doesn't recieve anybody. Is it possible that the Problem is coming from my Internet-Provider. If the Server-App not receive any incoming Connections, i think it's a Problem with my Router (i'm searching a new Firmware for this) Thanks for Helping and excuse my bad English Elmar Baumann "Hans Galema" <dontusethis@dontusethis.nl> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:416c2a9f$1@newsgroups.borland.com... > Elmar Baumann wrote: > > > my Router Adress was xx.xx.xx.xx (192.168.0.1) > > You mean: xx.xx.xx.xx is the internet-IP (or WAN-IP) and > 192.168.0.1 is the router's LAN-IP ? > > > two Computers was connected to the Router 1st 192.168.0.100, 2nd > > 192.168.0.101 > > > > 1. starting SMTP-Server on 192.168.0.101 Port 25 > > 2. starting SMTP-Client on 192.168.0.101 Port 25 > > 3. setting IdSMTP->Host to "localhost" or "192.168.0.101" > > 4. send mail with smtp-client using smtp-server works good. > > Ok.
