 The error is Tidcodercollection:add. Coder indy 9 is redesigned, which I got from Doc. I have not idead how to change the code since it doesn't give me specific line.
What do you mean indy 8 is not supported, you mean ssl dll?
The following is what I did in indy8.
I have an application that runs as a windows service, inside this application I define httpserver that listens to 8091 port. The client side is custum java application that runs on blackberry device
It access service via http. Now we would like to add secure by issuing https.In the service application I ann ssl component of IdServerInterceptOpenssl and specify ssloption of cert file, key and rootcert file
method=sslvSSLv23, mode = sslmServer, verifydepth=0, sslvrfpeer=false,
sslvrfnopeercert=false,sslvrfclientOnce=false
Also specify onGetPassword as bellow:
void __fastcall TdmNet::IdServerInterceptOpenSSL1GetPassword(
      AnsiString &Password)
{
      Password= "password";
}
Inside httpserver component: http
I specify intercept=IdServerInterceptOpenssl  by selecting form drop-down
list.
All ssl option automatically attached. ans also assign 443 to
HTTP::defaultport property( Am I correct?)

I assume I don't have to install certificate in IIS since our application runs as a windows service.
In client side I change from " http://servername:8092/wts?query=......" to https://servername/wts?query=....". Then I run it and got certficate chain not available.

Specific question:
1.Is it possible that I can successfully do https in indy 8 since I have run problem? If yes, I am going to stick to Indy 8 and upgrade to indy in the future because of deadlin. What is the right version ssl ddl that is supported indy 8?

2. How to specify the ssl port(443) in the httpserver component. Is it just assign 443 to default port?
3. How to know the ssl is installed correctly. the one I am using is
07/26/2001. For the lasted version 6/26/2004, I didn't find openssl exe file.

I am desperated right now because of project deadline.
Any help will be appciated.

Lynn
