I'm trying to come up with the simplest server side app that will capture a string sent to the server ip address and transfer it to an rs-232 device. The client side has to be integrated into our customers software witten in who knows what. Basically, what I need to do is provide a very simple demo of a minimal ascii message transfer from, say a browser, to our server and transfer the ascii command to our serial equipment. At that point I can hand it off to our customer and they can figure out what they need on their end to send these messages. I've searched this group and find that most examples impliment both the client and server side. I need something that is generic enough that I can send a message from some commonly available Windows app. Any ideas?
