I have implemented a TCP server. It accepts clients and passes them off to a separate thread to do the processing between client/server when a connection is made. What happends when the client disconnects? I am getting a socket reset somewhere but it doesn't seem to be on the socket I passed to the separate thread - when I get the socket reset I call shutdown() and closesocket() on the socket that gets it but this closes down the entire server rather than simply closing out the specific client socket. Does this make sense or am I missing something here? I am not using the Borland wrapper socket classes but have instead wrapped my own socket class around the windows API. I hope someone can give me an idea as to what's going on even with the limited info I am providing. Thanks a million!
