Since I got no response here, I did a Google search for 'C++ Builder UDP
component'.  I tried 2 different components - one was an ActiveX from Dart,
the other was a VCL from nsoftware.  Didn't have much luck with the Dart
component and its usage was a bit ugly.  The IPWorks component was good, but
much of our existing socket code does not use Callback functions.  I took a
2nd look at the Builder 6 component pallet and saw TIdUDPClient under the
Indy Clients tab.  Initial testing has shown this to work very well with our
current architecture.  We plan to use this component for UDP comm moving
forward.
