(NMFTP && IndyFTP) vs Windows Firewall
#1389

Hi,

I have the next problem:

I need to use the IndyFTP component (Im using Indy version 9) to connect and download some files of a FTP because this component has some features than NMFTP doesnt have, but this application (in which Im using the IndyFTP component) gets hold when the Windows Firewall is running, even if add this application to the exceptions of this firewall. I need turn off the Windows Firewall to run the IndyFTP application fine.

The same application but with the NMFTP component works fine when the Windows Firewall is running.

So, I would like any kind of help to have my application with the IndyFTP component and the Windows Firewall (turn on) running in the best way together.

Thenks

Caos,

Are you enabling passive mode?

Set the Passive property to True. It is False by default.

I've tried setting the passive property to true and even with the Windows Firewall turn off my app hangs :/ , so the big problem is the Windows Firewall and I dont know how to configure it (my app is an exception in the Windows Firewall, but it doesnt wotk :/ )
