Problem with IdSMTP
#1578

Hi,

I have a form in an application that contains an IdSMTP.
I call this form when I want to send an e-mail to report. Up to
now I have only called this form from one other form, but now I
waqnt to call it from another form as well. However, when I include
the header file for the email form in the new form, I get a compile
error in:-
extern PACKAGE int __fastcall PosInStrArray(const AnsiString SearchStr, AnsiString * Contents, const int Contents_Size, const bool CaseSensitive = true);
This is in IdGlobal.hpp. The message says that it can't be
initialised.
Any ideas?

Cheers,

David

Hi Hans,

No. I checked that. However, since posting I have commented out
the offending line in IdGlobal.hpp and it was fine after that.

Cheers,

David

You might have included different headerfiles.

Check both .cpp and .h files. // four all together.

Hans.

What is the EXACT error message? There is no error in the code you have
shown.

Hi Remy,

The line I quoted in my original post was highlighted in red, in
IdGlobal.hpp. If I comment this line out, it compiles OK.
This was the message:-

[C++ Error] Idglobal.hpp(322): E2189 extern variable cannot be initialized
[C++ Error] Idglobal.hpp(322): E2188 Expression syntax
[C++ Error] Idglobal.hpp(322): E2293 ) expected

I am using BDS 2006 and Indy 9

Cheers,

David
