Indy9 Demos for C++?
#2124

Hello All,

Has anyone ported any of the Indy demo projects to C++? At least the basic
TCP and UDP server demos would be very helpful.

I agree it would be great to have Indy 10 for C++, but I would like to thank
Borland for at least getting Indy 9 integrated into the BDS2006 installation
for C++. I tried a couple of times to get Indy 9 from the Indy site and
install it, but was never successful. After this many questions, wouldn't it
be easier to just improve the instructions on the site than to have to keep
answering the same questions over and over in this forum?

Thanks,

Joe

No.

Why not? Please be more specific.

It should be a simple job to translate the demos to C++. The Delphi
syntax is very similar to C++

Post a link to the demos, I'll have a look.

Hi Stuart,

Here's a link to the Indy demo page. There's a link for Indy9 demos. Indy10
is not supported for C++ Builder.

Hi Remy,

It's been a couple of years, so I can't remember the details, but I think it
was pretty much the same kinds of questions people are asking today. The
instructions may be there somewhere, but it's not very clear.

Joe

Hey Joe,

I'll have a look at the demos and convert them, starting with the
UDP/TCP ones you wanted.

I currently use BDS 2006, which includes Indy9. Is this ok.
