I use BDS2006 C++Builder and Indy9 and trying to use the TIdSysLog->SendMessage() for sending a message on another port than default 514 (otherwise TIdSysLogMessage is sufficient). As discussed earlier in this group there is a naming conflict with Windows SendMessage function. 1) I'm not able to get around the linker problem with SendMessage. How do I that ? 2) Is it possible to use Indy 10 together with BDS2006 C++Builder ? Regards Christer

As also discussed earlier in this group... (Remy and Paul discussing "Indy 9 and SysLog") Change the name of the function to SendLogMessage (as per Indy 10 naming), and rebuild Indy9. >2) Is it possible to use Indy 10 together with BDS2006 C++Builder ? Others have reported success.

The SendMessage() method was renamed to SendMsg() awhile ago. > As discussed earlier in this group there is a naming conflict > with Windows SendMessage function. That has already been fixed. Upgrade your copy of Indy 9 to the latest snapshot from Indy's website. Gambit
