Hi everyone! I have a BCB6 project that uses Indy8. It was doin' fine until I decided to upgrade to Indy9. I almost got crazy because of the winsock2.h and windsock.h conflict. I used the #ifndef _WINSOCKAPI_ #define _WINSOCKAPI_ #endif code and now it compiles. But at the and of the compile job I got the following errors: [Linker Error] Unresolved external 'Idhttp::TIdHTTP::' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\CANAL CPA\CANALCPA.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idhttp::TIdCustomHTTP::~TIdCustomHTTP()' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\CANAL CPA\CANALCPA.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idtcpclient::TIdTCPClient::~TIdTCPClient()' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\CANAL CPA\CANALCPA.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idtcpconnection::TIdTCPConnection::~TIdTCPConnection()' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\CANAL CPA\CANALCPA.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idcomponent::TIdComponent::~TIdComponent()' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\CANAL CPA\CANALCPA.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idhttp::TIdCustomHTTP::TIdCustomHTTP(Classes::TComponent *)' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\CANAL CPA\CANALCPA.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idhttp::TIdCustomHTTP::Get(System::AnsiString)' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\CANAL CPA\CANALCPA.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external 'Idcodermime::TIdEncoderMIME::' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\COMUM\USERVLET.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idcodermime::TIdEncoderMIME::TIdEncoderMIME(Classes::TComponent *)' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\COMUM\USERVLET.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idcoder::TIdEncoder::Encode(const System::AnsiString)' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\COMUM\USERVLET.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idglobal::Fetch(System::AnsiString&, const System::AnsiString, const bool, const bool)' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\COMUM\USERVLET.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external 'Idcodermime::TIdDecoderMIME::' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\COMUM\USERVLET.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idcodermime::TIdDecoderMIME::TIdDecoderMIME(Classes::TComponent *)' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\COMUM\USERVLET.OBJ [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Idcoder::TIdDecoder::DecodeToString(const System::AnsiString)' referenced from D:\CLIENTES\CPA\MDSD\COMUM\USERVLET.OBJ I just don't know what to do! Also, did you remove Indy 8 from your machine before installing Indy 9? BCB6 ships with Indy 8 preinstalled. You must remove it before Indy 9 will work. The removal instructions are in Indy's Knowledge Base (http://www.indyproject.org/KB). Gambit

First of all, thank you very much for your reply. I did remove Indy8 from my BCB6. I don't know if it means from my machine ;-) I created simple projects using Indy9 and they worked. But my old and real projects are compiling but not linking due to those erros I sent before. I tried comparing the "simple projects" and the "real projects" and I could not find anything diferent or unusual. So, help me out, please ;-) Thanks again. > >> But at the and of the compile job I got the following errors: > > Those errors suggest that you are not linking Indy's packages into your > project. > > Also, did you remove Indy 8 from your machine before installing Indy 9? > BCB6 ships with Indy 8 preinstalled. The Knowledge Base tells you which files to look for. > I created simple projects using Indy9 and they worked. Ok, I did it all. I removed all Indy8 files and reinstalled Indy9 but the linking problem persists. And my hair is falling more quickly now ;-) Any ideas? > >> I did remove Indy8 from my BCB6.
