what's different between TTcpClient and TClientSocket in BCB6

Hi,

Can Andy body tell me what's different between TTcpClient and TClientSocket
in BCB6, as I saw only TClientSocket in BCB4, but BCB6 has TTcpClient.

If I want to create a TCP/IP client - server app, with component I should to
use, TTcpClient/TTcpServer or TClientSocket/TServerSocket.

Regards

They are completely different and unrelated components. They have very
different architectures. TTcpClient is part of the CLX. TClientSocket is
part of the VCL.

BCB6 still has TClientSocket available.

New Question,

How to use TServerSocket to bind different ports. I mean, I want to write a
server app to support listening different ports. Do I need to drag and drop
many TServerSocket on my form to bind different ports?

TServerSocket only supports 1 port at a time.

If you want multiple ports active at the same time, then yes. On the other
hand, if you want only 1 port active at a time, but want to be able to
configure the port that is used, then simply change the value of the
TServerSocket's Port property when needed before activating the server.
