I am using Indy 9, BCB5 and Windows 98. When an application thau uses TIdSMTP tries to send an email in a running Windows XP computer it cannot find remote server. If we go to a computer running Windows 98 computer it does the job. It is right to thionk that Indy 9 SMTP does not runs on Win XP or there is somthing I did wrong? If I compile application in a running XP computer it would solve the problem? Must I download Indy 10 to fix that bug? If so, how I uninstall Indy 9 from BCB and install Indy 10? Thanks for your answers. Antonio Donato

What is the exact errormessage ? Can you send an email with Thunderbird/Outlook on that XP computer ? > If we go to a computer running Windows 98 > computer it does the job. Or some 'security program' that does not allow connections to port 25 ? Hans.

There was a firewall in that computer that prevented messages to be sent without giving any feedback. When deactivated message could be sent. Thank you for your time spent with us.
