Could anyone point me in the direction of a simple explanation of how to use sockets on the internet. I would like to communicate between applications on two different machines via the internet. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, David

This has been discussed many times before: Go to: http://groups-beta.google.com/ Type in exactly with quotes: "please help me..socket file transfer" That's one of threads with full source code included for sending data from one PC to other via net/internet with TClientSocket & TServerSocket components... -- Best regards, Vladimir Stefanovic
