Hi!
I'm trying to download all messages from my mailbox with TIdPOP3, by:
TIdMessage *msg;
POP3->Connect();
int cnt = POP3->CheckMessages();
for ( int i = 1; i <= cnt; i++ )
{
msg = new TIdMessage(this);
POP3->Retrieve(i, msg);
delete msg;
}
POP3->Disconnect();
Just to download, nothing to do, so far. I've got 39 e-mails at mailbox and
while downloading 12th e-mail, I get "Acces violation", exactly while
calling:
POP3->Retrieve(i, msg);
I'm using Indy 9.00.17 under BCB6.
I've also tried to ommit the 12th e-mail (by 'continue' statement), but the
error has occured again at 34th or sth like that.
I guess that this is a problem of some wrong syntax of e-mail contents, but
shouldn't it throw exemption instead of crashing?

Pozdrawiam (Greetings!)

Install the latest snapshot version from Indy's website and see if the problem still persists. If it doesn, then please show the raw message data that is cauding the AVs. Gambit

Thanks, but I've got troubles with installing. First of all, there is no *.bpk or fullc6.bat, so I've tried to create new bcb package, add all *.pas to package and then save it in lib\system. Then I've tried to compile it, but compilation breaks at IdAssemblyInfo.pas, where compiler says: Redefinition of System symbol - or something like that. Is there any introductions, how to compile indy 10 under bcb, which says more, than "what is order of compiling directories"? I saw quiet big thread about it in last days, but the thread was too large and introductions in it was splitted into too many small parts, I can't understeand them :/ -- Greetings! Googie

Ok, I've worked it out! :) I've compiled all of lib\system, lib\core and lib\protocols packages, but now I'm not able to load (install) core and protocols... when I install Core, everything is okey, but while I'm trying to install protocols, then I get error: Cannot load package 'IndyProtocols61.bpk'. It contains unit 'Iddsncoreresourcestrings', which is also contained in package IndyCore61. I've also get a lot of warnings while compiling protocols, such as: [Linker Warning] Duplicate resource: Type 2 (BITMAP), ID TIDBLOCKCIPHERINTERCEPT; File C:\PROGRAM FILES\BORLAND\CBUILDER6\SOURCE\INDY10\LIB\PROTOCOLS\IDREGISTERCOOL.DCR resource kept; file C:\PROGRAM FILES\BORLAND\CBUILDER6\SOURCE\INDY10\LIB\PROTOCOLS\IDREGISTER.DCR resource discarded. -- Greetings! Just to make sure you had the latest Indy 9 installed instead. > Is there any introductions, how to compile indy 10 under bcb Indy 10 does not officially support BCB just yet. That is still being worked on. Gambit

Ok, then I can't see any newer version of 9 serie. Where should I put raw e-mails data to let see what's wrong with them? Will http://rafb.net/paste/ be ok?

Heh... just looked again and saw dev snapshots. I've downloaded and tried to install it just like indy9 before, but while running fullc6.bat I get: IdPOP3.pas(82) Error: Property 'HasAPOP' does not exist in base class IdPOP3.pas(319) Indy60.dpk(197) Fatal: Could not compile used unit 'IdPOP3.pas'
