the return or enter key is not being displayed rite in the demo app. Instead of a nice clean carriage return it displays a symbol of some kind. I remember someone bringing this up on the atoz forums. How can i fix this?

thanks

Windows uses CRLF for its line breaks. If the server is only sending CR or
LF but not CRLF, and the code is not checking for that but is adding the
text to the edit control as-is, then a symbol would appear in the edit
control.

Well, first you have to find out what the server is actually sending you,
and then you would have to insert into the text whatever characters are
missing from the CRLF pairs. Then you can put the updated text into the
edit control.

I doubt it. What exactly did you hear?

By looking at the actual data that you are receiving, such as in the IDE's
debugger.
