Hi, I can't seem to find any examples or information on how to use this component. I've found the TIdMappedTCP example but it doesn't really help. Every time I try to use it and try to receive mail in my email client I get an "EIdException with message 'Host is empty'", even though I've set the MappedHost to the remote pop server. There doesn't seem to be any other Host that I can set so I'm a little confused. If anyone can help out a little I'd be very greatful. MwnN

The only way that error can occur is if you did not set the MappedHost property at all, or if you are clearing the OutboundClient.Host property in the OnConnect event. Those are the only two things that can set the outbound Host during connecting. Gambit

Thanks Gambit,
I wasn't setting the 'VHost' in IdMappedPop31CheckHostPort()
which seemed to be empty all the time. By adding the following
everything works fine now...
void __fastcall TForm1::IdMappedPop31CheckHostPort
(TIdMappedPortThread *AThread, const AnsiString AHostPort,
AnsiString &VHost, AnsiString &VPort)
{
VHost = IdMappedPop31->MappedHost;
}
My next question would be how would I go about accessing the
mail, as in accessing the mail using TIdMessage. Can this be
done or do I have to use something like an TIdServerIntercept
or TIdServerIOHandler in order to get access to that kind of
info.
My Program is basically going to scan the emails body to find
an embedded asset which in turn it will edit and then send the
email on with the new data, if the asset is not found in the
emails body then the email will just get forwarded on without
any editing. The reason why I'd like to use a TIdMessage is
because I will still have access to the headers should I need
it later on.
Thanks again!
