My computer receives its IP adr from the router which is connected to cable
modem. I can check teh IP adr of the modem via
http://www.webcogs.com/whatsmyipaddress.aspx

How can I find this IP adr (IP adr of my cable modem) from a C++ application
?

Use a HTTP component to get that page. Then parse out the IP-address.

The following page is much simpler to parse:

http://checkip.dyndns.org/

Hans.
