I'm developing a peer to peer internet program that needs to be able to work behind firewalls. So if a DSL Router is address 222.50.50.50, computers behind it are 192.128.1.1 Is there a way to "Push" the data I'm putting out on an aribtrary port out to the firewall so that clients on the world wide web can read it? Thank you -Ken P

There are only two ways to get data through a router/firewall: 1) an outside client connects to a server behind the firewall, with the firewall/router set up to perform port forwarding so that the outside connection can reach the IP/port that the server is actually listening on. 2) a client behind the firewall connects to an outside server, with the firewall/router set up to allow outgoing connections. #2 is the easier to manage, especially since it is the usually the default configuration for a firewall/router anyway. #1 has its uses, though.
