Hi I have written a Windows service and when I included a module containing idHTTP, I get the following error: multiple declaration for 'fd_set' etc. This is declared in winsock2.h and winsock.h. I found that in scktcomp.hpp winsock.h is declared and winsock2.h in idHTTp. Does anyone have a solution for this? I have tried moving the includes etc but nothing works. I will appreciate any help Regards Alfred Thomas

The header files for the two are not compatible with each other. > I found that in scktcomp.hpp winsock.h is declared and winsock2.h in idHTTp. Correct. Why are you including ScktComp.hpp to begin with? That suggests that you are trying to use TClientSocket or TServerSocket, correct? If so, then why not use Indy's client/server components instead? Hi Remy >Correct. Why are you including ScktComp.hpp to begin with? That suggests >that you are trying to use TClientSocket or TServerSocket, correct? If so, >then why not use Indy's client/server components instead? This is a program that has been running at a few sites, almost bug free, for 3 years now. I have now added idHTTP to enable the service to use HTTPS/SSL. You are correct in that I do use Client and server sockets. I am a bit reluctant(probably without good reason), to change all the VCL socket components to Indy socket components. The reason is that I might introduce a few new bugs by doing so. Are there no other options? And are there any known problems with Indy's socket components? If not, I will convert the existing project. Thanks for your help as always Regards Alred
