The buffer sizes should never matter. TCP guarantees data delivery (or delivery errors) regardless of the data size, whether you are sending 10 bytes or 1,000,000 bytes. The socket stack returns how many bytes were actually accepted everytime send() is called, and then that many bytes are guaranteed to be delivered. It is the caller's responsibility to adjust its buffer sending accordingly. Indy does exactly that, regardless of the buffer sizes used (chances are the socket can't except full buffers at a time anyway). Gambit
