Borland C++ 6 upgrade path?? Help!!

Pointy head manager here...
I've got some developers telling me that we need to re-write an
application (developed 3 yrs ago) because Borland C++ 6 will not be
supported at the end of 2005, and there is no upgrade path (VCL no
longer supported?)

The Borland site is very confusing as to their direction and what
is/will be supported.  They still appear to be selling 6 - but then say
support is going away soon?  They also mention a 2005 version, but
customer support has never heard of it!!
I'm very confused.  Can someone please clarify?
