I don't know what has changed that would do this.

Sure you could investigate it but why bother.  You will receive a 
WM_QUERYENDSESSION message in the main application window.  Return TRUE to 
Windows.  A WM_ENDSESSION will follow.  Call Application->Terminate() and 
return zero to Windows.
