fast forward problem in MCI & Medimedia Player

Dear folks


I try to build a mpeg player by using the example MCI code which is enclosed
with the
SAM's BCPPB guide.  When trying to fast forward the movie (no matter mpeg
file or VCD),
it takes quite long time to process.  I try to do another one by using the
MediamediaPlayer.
it's still slow.  How can I improve the performance when doing fast forward
and seeking?
I think it's nothing to do with my computer because I can do it perfectly on
Windows Media
Player.
