For this application I only need the USB webcamera with 25-30 frames/sek, in faster systems I use a framegrabber card and its SDK to take more than 1000 frames per sek to process. This was the first time I needed to process jpeg. Before I could select RGB24, but not in the new camera I evaluate. I am a bit worried about the qualityloss in the jpeg format. Its critical for me to have clear and correct edges in the image. As of my understanding, this is where jpeg does not suit. Problem is, most cameramanufacturer uses jpeg to speed up the transmisson.
