Hi,

If you have to save time, take a look at TVideoGrabber.
It's not free, but you will incorporate easily video features like webcam 
preview, recording, compression, playback, including text and graphics 
overlays.
The MainDemo project included in the package shows how to implement the 
major features with only a few lines of code.
