Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the correct newsgroup to post this in, so I'll first apologize if it isn't. So here is my question/problem. I am trying to use the Windows program, "Disk Cleanup.exe" to clean up some files I placed in an end-users temporary directory. But the program "Disk Cleanup.exe", doesn't see these as temporary files, so it doesn't work the way I need it to. Below, is what I'm doing. I have a database application that stores BLOB files. In this application, I have a procedure that is used to view these files. When the end-user clicks the "View File" I basically do the following step: 1 - Copy file to local temporary directory 2 - Rename it (prefix "tmp_" + FILENAME) 3 - Open it Server OS - Windows 2000 Server Database Server - Microsoft SQL Server 2000 PC OS - Windows 2000 Pro & Windows XP Pro File Type(s) - any type that can be placed into a BLOB field (JPG, BMP, Word, Excel, etc...) Is there something I'm missing. Some file attribute that is supposed to be set to "Temporary" so that Windows knows it's a temporary file? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Randel Bjorkquist
