Memory usage

Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help. I have a file that is made up of
an array of structures (all of identical type). Each structure
is a record containing many fields of differing types, int,
float, char array, etc.
I want to load the whole file into memory so that I can get quick
access to individual records. I used to do this in the old C++
16 bit programs and found that if a record straddled a 64k
boundary, it would wrap back to the beginning of the sector.
The pointer could be set at the beginning of the record, and if
MyStruct->field7 was on the other side of the 64k boundary, it
rubbish. So I had to copy the record byte by byte to get an
intact record.

The question is: does the same problem exist with CBuilder which
is a 32bit program?

Cheers,

David
