You are not guaranteed to get the same handle in multiple processes even though they point to the same global object internally. I just tested it, some of my test processes got one memory address and others got a different address, even though there was only 1 event involved. > I am trying to debug an two apps that use named events for some > communications. That is fine. > They don't seem to be signalling properly You are probably using them incorrectly in general. Please show your actual code that is not working for you. > so I was wondering if there's a way to tell if the events are indeed > the same (i.e., by comparing handles or is there some other way?). You cannot compare handles across processes. If you truely specified theEXACT same name for both, then you are guaranteed to get the same object in both processes. Gambit
