(here's more great documentation: "If this flag is set, the file system preserves and enforces ACLs" Well, duh... but what is ACL? doesn't say.) Looks like lpFileSystemNameBuffer will tell me what I need to know. Ok, I should be able to get it working from this. There might be another issue running from XP over the network to the '98 files Does XP "fix" the dates again? Wouldn't be surprised.
