I'm trying to create a devide independent bitmap using windows API. I've
created a BITMAP structure and I'd like to use TextOut to write text to it.
But, TextOut requires an HDC. How does Builder's VCL accomplish this with
TBitmap->Canvas->TextOut()? I need my module to be compiler independent just
for my own sanity. :)

Here's what I've got so far....

BITMAP *bitmap;

...

char text[] = "Hello";
int text_length = 5;

TextOut(hdc, 0, 0, text, text_length);

...

How do I link the HDC to the BITMAP?
