Hi everyone... Thanks for your prompt reply... After reading your posts and a brief review over the MSDN web site I have three questions: > Use CreateProcess() instead. It can return the process ID for the spawned > process. You can then use EnumWindows() and GetWindowThreadProcessId() to > find all windows that belong to that same process ID. You are currently > trying to compare process handles instead, which is not exactly the same > thing. Does the CreateProcess open a folder when a folder path is given instead of a path + filename? > About Bobs comment : > If you are using ShellExecuteEx because you don't know the name of the > executable for the file, you can use > FindExecutable() to get the proper exe to use in CreateProcess. How can I show the "Open with" window when there's no associated program to the filename extension? If the above situation is solved by calling GetLastError(), how do I use this function? Thanks for all your help...
