Hello Bob, after some tests I found out that the problem is the OpenDialog Class. So now I have to switch to another usergroup. As soon as I run Execute of TOpenDialog to determine the file names only, my app 'occupies' the folder and does not free it until I close my app. I tried to create and delete it immediately during runtime using new and delete but unfortunately I had no success. I am able to remove the dir using the explorer, so I think I have all rights. Thats the reason I postet it, why is RemoveDir not able to delete it. >>By the way the error code of GetLastError is 0x00000005. > >Access Denied. >If your app, or some other app has that directory as the "current" >directory, then it is "in use" and can't be deleted. > >i.e. if you "cd c:\somedir" then "rd c:\somedir" it won't work. >XP says >"The process cannot access the file because it is being used by >another process." >Which sound a lot like Access Denied. >
