fetch commando argument - multiple files

Hi,
my app should be able to retrieve all filenames of several files, after they
were marked in the file explorere and a menuitem started my app.

I know how to implement a submenu for a specific file type, e.g. *.txt, and
thus to call my app and forward the path+filename.

What is the best way to get mark several files at the same time (like:
winamp-> enque files).

I was thinking of following steps:
1) prohibit more than one instance of my prog
2) if there is already one instance running, just send the commando-line
argument to the first instance

* my problem is, how can I send a string to my app?
* what is the best way to save these strings? Anything like TListBox without
the visual part.

thanks a lot for your help guys,
nik
