Hi: Again, I very much appreciate your prompt replay and thank you 'cause the information you gave me solves my problem (I haven't tested it yet..., but I will). The reason I don't use the nShow variable in the ShellExecuteEx function is because I assume that users will interact with the spawned applications (perhaps resizing or minimizing). At a certain time, I want to force the users to see spawned apps (one or all of them). To do this I'm planning to issue a "ShowWindow" command to each spawned window. However "ShowWindow" also takes a "HWND" as a parameter!!! I found out that there's no need to call the "IsIconic" function if I specify the SW_RESTORE parameter in the "ShowWindow" function. This way it doesn't matter if the spawned app is minimized, however if does matter if the app is maximized (or maximized and focused) 'cause it could confuse the user...I mean... user could get MORE confused ;) Thank you again and C.U.
