If you want to use the registry for this, AFAIK the only way to go is: - Require your app to be installed by an admin - At install time, modify the access rights to the HKLM\XXXX registry key granting full access to the world. To do so, you may use ::GetNamedSecurityInfo(), ::SetEntriesInAcl(), and ::SetNamedSecurityInfo(). Then any user will be able to write to that registry key. Hernan Tornielli
