Thanks Remy, I saw the WlxDialogBox (and assosiated functions) but I must have missed the section stating the replacement GINA's MUST use these - I thought they were simply there for convienance. I tried Using Application->HookMainWindow which complied fine but I still dont get the WLX_WM_SAS message being sent. So based on that, it seems that I will have to opt for using the WlxDialogBox option. However one of the parameters to this function is a string specifying the resource ID of the template for the dialog i.e. lpszTemplate [in] Specifies the dialog box template. This parameter is either the address of a null-terminated character string that specifies the name of the dialog box template, or an integer value that specifies the resource identifier of the dialog box template. If the parameter specifies a resource identifier, its high-order word must be zero and its low-order word must contain the identifier. You can use the MAKEINTRESOURCE macro to create this value. I assume this is the same sort of templete that VC++ uses as opossed to the way borland uses the VCL form designer. Based on that, is it possible to design a form in VC++, save it to my DLL's resource and then point this lpszTemplate at it. If so, do you have any good pointers to using VC++ to create forms i.e. any key properties that need setting :-) Thanks again, Mike C
