Which version of BCB are you using?  If BCB6, it comes with example
components that do exactly that.

Otherwise, there are plenty of third-party components available at sites
like http://www.torry.net, http://www.vclcomponents.com, etc.

Or you could try making your own, they are not *too* complex to make.  Have
a look at the following article for information on working with the OS's
shell (look at the first three sub-articles in particular):
