Don't know wilthout seeing the actual code and the actual error
message.  But, I wasn't able to get MAPI32 to link with my code, so I
used the following with with MAPILogon. It should work  with
MAPILogonEx as well.

    HANDLE		hMAPILib;
    LPMAPILOGONEX	MAPILogonEx;
    LPMAPILOGOFF	MAPILogoff;

ULONG _stdcall StartEmail(void)
{
	hMAPILib	= LoadLibrary("MAPI32.DLL");
	MAPILogonEx	=
(LPMAPILOGON)GetProcAddress(hMAPILib,"MAPILogonEx");
	MAPILogoff	=
(LPMAPILOGOFF)GetProcAddress(hMAPILib,"MAPILogoff");

	return  SUCCESS_SUCCESS == fnMAPILogonEx( .......

}
