Beep() seems to fail in the exact way that Sleep() fails.
It can't resolve below about 10 milliseconds.  I have settled 
on using Canvas->Pixels[][] as a way to slow things down.  
This is a kludgy quick fix but works well and the optimizer
doesn't try to correct it.
