Hi

I am trying to relocate the Tooltips of applications other than
my own.

I currently use SetWindowsHookEx(WH_CALLWNDPROC,....
I trap the WM_NOTIFY and see if the TTN_SHOW is called.

The documentation for TTN_SHOW says the following and I quote 
MSDN:
To display the ToolTip in its default location, return zero. To 
customize the ToolTip position, reposition the ToolTip window 
with the SetWindowPos function and return TRUE. 

My question is "What return value???"  this is a notification 
message, there is no return value.  How do I use this message
correctly to be able to move my window.

I have managed to hack a solution but I have a small glitch.
On the WM_WINDOWPOSCHANGING message I verify if its a tooltip 
and if its not at postion 0,0 and the call a SetWindowPos with 
the new location.  This displays the TT in the new location 
properly but it first flashes it where it initially was suppose 
to be.  Yes this works but the flash is annoying.

PS: Remy, thanks for the previous help I did manage to change 
the text of any TT.  You last extremely long post was a great 
help.
