You can use something like this (untested)

    char command[128];

    wsprintf(command, "setaudio %s %s %s",
                  MediaPlayer1->FileName.c_str(),
                  "off",          //  To set audio on replace "off" by "on"
                 "wait");

    mciSendString(command, NULL, 0, NULL);
