You can make life easier for yourself by not using backslashes. This
will work in your case (and 95% of the cases out there), and you don't
have to worry about a typo and forgetting to double up:

#define KIOSK_APP "C:/KIOSK/Bin/Kiosk.exe"

> HANDLE htok = 0;
> STARTUPINFO si = { sizeof si, 0, "" };

An easier way to initialize this is:

STARTUPINFO si={sizeof(STARTUP_INFO)};

in fact, I'd be surprised if your code actually works, which has me worried
about typos in the rest of it. You'd be better off with a copy-and-paste.
