Hi All, hope everyone is happy and not thinking of jumping ship to MS :-) Just a quick one, been messing on for ages but seem to be running around in circles. Does anyone have any robust code examples of using LookupAccountName() api? I'm writting a little wrapper to, amongst other things, write events to the Windows Event Log. In order to display the users' name under the event that I write, I need to pass the users SID, which I'm assuming I can access using this api. I've tried to impliment the code myself and I've used one code example that I found on a website in the Russia but no joy. I keep getting the error "No mapping between account names and security IDs was done" returned by LookupAccountName(). I can post my function code if necessary... Any help would be excellant, so thanks in advance, Mike C
