Use a Client/Server model. Create a server program to run on the machine
hosting the physical file, then have the application that is running on the
other PCs each make a client connection to the server and submit their data
for logging. The server can then synchronize access to the file across the
client connections as needed. Depending on theOSs involved, you can use
RPC, DCOM, TCP/IP, named piped, etc for the model.
