I just threw in a few extras as well, such as the Sleep() loop in FindNewMessageWnd(). I could have just called Sleep(5000) and not looped at all, but I wanted the code to return the HWND as soon as possible so the message window was onscreen as little amount of time as needed. As for the other helper functions, I could have just inlined the code directly into Button1Click(), but then it would have gotten a little ugly, so I broke the code out for easier reading. I suppose the functions themselves could be declared as 'inline', then there wouldn't be any extra overhead in the CPU jumping around memory calling additional functions. The point of everything was to make Button1Click() itself as simple as possible, everything else is just internal details. Gambit
