Adding access to a disk drive...

All of our students have laptops. I am looking to *permanently* add
their accounts (domain and local) to their laptops root directories with
full access. The only windows api functions that I can find to add them
say that any accounts that are given full access to the root directory
will last only until the computer is restarted. Does anyone know of
windows api that doesn't have this limitation? (As we wish the students
to have full access to the root directory).

thanks,
charlie
