The only way to ensure that you own code is not linking to non-existant functions is to dynamically load them via GetModuleHandle/LoadLibrary()and GetProcAddress() at runtime. If your own code is not using the function, but something else your code is using does, there's not much you can do about that. If a function is used than a function is used. You can't tell the compiler to selectively ignore particular functions. Gambit
