In my program there's a timer processing some data based on an input 
(loaded) file which is loaded from the main program. Now I want the main 
program to load the next file as soon as one file is done.

How can the timer 'tell' the main program that next file has to be loaded? 
Since the loading of a file could take relatively long or even error, so 
that I don't want to put it into the timer procedure.
