If the OS natively supports a mouse wheel, then a WM_MOUSEWHEEL message is issued. On OS versions that don't natively support a mouse wheel, there is an add-on executable named MSWHEEL.EXE that can be installed which runs in the background and issues a message that is obtained via RegisterWindowMessage() instead. You can use the global TMouse::RegWheelMessage property to know what specific message ID is being used in that situation. Gambit
