I'm trying to create an automated voice application to perform a registration task (like XP home ...). That's really simplified: 1) play a greeting wav 2) get phone dialed customer code with dialtones detection 3) perform registration (with existing cpp code over an interbase db) 4) play wav's with computed registration code 5) hangup Did anybody work on some similar task? Is TAPI a good API to do this job? I've been using TAPI for a while so that was my starting point. I read that I can both play a WAV file to a tapi device and get dialtones but it looks like I need a LINEMEDIAMODE_AUTOMATEDVOICE capable hardware. Can I do that with standard modems or ISDN modems? (from old posts I discovered that ISDN modems don't have voice features, do they?) I found INTEL/DIALOGIC boards and, reading intel site, they seem to perform the required tasks. Will I program them with TAPI? Sorry if wrong newsgroup. I didn't found anything more appropriate in the borland.public.cppbuilder hierarchy. Thank you all. Eric
